Active Zone!
Katz JCC's New Exergaming Arcade
Active Zone is an arcade for children with interactive games and equipment that promote exercise while they have fun playing the activities. Active Zone helps improve coordination, fights childhood obesity and encourages children to move.
Equipment Includes:
- Lightspace Board: An 8' x 8' light-up board with games like dodgeball, musical squares, tennis and more.
- Dance Dance Revolution (DDR): This fun game encourages movement to classic songs, today's hits and Disney favorites.
- Xavix: Kids play virtual sports using props like a bowling ball, real boxing gloves, and a baseball bat instead of a remote control.
- 3Kick: This kickboxing game with three posts and nine foam pads uses noise and light sensors to get kids moving.
- Exerbikes: Using exercise bikes found in fitness centers, players race against each other on exciting game courses that include favorite characters from Cars and Madagascar.
Active Zone is available to the community for party rentals
